Overview

The Chatbot project type lets you build intelligent conversational AI assistants that can understand context, respond to user queries, and provide accurate information from your knowledge base using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

Getting Started

Step 1: Create a Chatbot Project

1. Go to your Dashboard (/dash/dashboard). 2. Click "Create New Chatbot". 3. Fill in the Project Name and Description. 4. Click "Create Project".

You'll be redirected to your new Chatbot project workspace where you can start building, customizing, and managing your bot.


The 3-Step Building Workflow

Your Chatbot project follows a simple 3-step workflow displayed on the project page:

Step 1: Build Your Chatbot

Goal: Configure appearance, behavior, and automation.
  • Design Your Chatbot: Set the system prompt (personality), colors, fonts, and window styling.
  • Add Intent-Based Responses: Program specific answers for common questions.
  • Build Workflows (Professional only): Create complex multi-step conversational flows for things like lead capture or automated orders.
  • Deploy: Get your embed code and see your bot live.

Step 2: Customize Your Chatbot

Goal: Train your AI on your specific knowledge.
  • Upload Knowledge Base: Add PDFs, Word docs, text files, or scrape website URLs.
  • Website Crawling (Smart/Professional): Automatically index your entire domain.
  • Build Vector Store: This processes your documents so the AI can perform semantic search (RAG).
  • Compare AI vs RAG: Test your bot's knowledge accuracy side-by-side.

Step 3: Manage & Track

Goal: Monitor performance and optimize.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Keep your documents up to date.

Troubleshooting

💡 Bot not using your documents? Ensure you have successfully clicked "Build Vector Store" after uploading your documents.

💡 Bot acting out of character? Review your "System Prompt" in the Design section to refine its instructions.

💡 Deploy code not working? Ensure your domain is correctly configured and the script tag is placed before the closing tag.
